Lizzie never stops working for our lovely Co-op!
Lizzie is our tireless Volunteer Co-Ordinator, and she spends hours and hours of her time wrangling the roster, chasing up volunteers for the shop and for other events, figuring out how to fill vacant slots, and often filling in herself when there's a hole she can't fill in some other way. (Along with her trusty sidekick Harry, who, although multi-talented and adorable, is not yet 2, so cannot help out on the computer, as much as he'd like to...)
So, for relaxation, Lizzie unwinds on Saturday mornings by training new volunteers!
The next induction for new volunteers will be at the store next Saturday August 6 from 8:30-9:30 am. Come along, and meet the amazing Lizzie, and learn how to run this town. OK, learn how to run the co-op, for a shift at least.
If you've ever thought about volunteering at the shop, now is the time to do it. If you know someone who might like to volunteer, please encourage them to come along and to learn how easy it is to become part of the Flame Tree Family. We need you! If you can't offer up a regular shift, offer up an occasional one! Make Lizzie's day and join the pool of stand-by people she can count on to keep our lovely co-op staffed, open, and welcoming to our members.
