For more information, please leave your contact details here or at the store and Cherry will get back to you.

Shop Volunteers
If you'd like to volunteer at the store, please contact the volunteer co-ordinator for news of the next induction.
Cleaning and Shelf Stocking
This position is ideal for those who can't work in the usual shop open hours. We need volunteers who can work on Sunday or Monday. Your job would involve cleaning the shop and store areas, including shelving, floors, refrigerators, kitchenette, hand basin and toilet. Other duties involve restocking items and inventory control (checking use-by dates etc). If you can volunteer some time on one of the days the co-op is closed (Sunday or Monday) let us know.
Garden and Shop Maintenance
We need a volunteer with a mower and/or line trimmer who can trim and maintain the side entry to the store. Duties would involve mowing and picking up rubbish, and trimming the vines around the storeroom door. You would work alongside the waste co-ordinator Myke to ensure the laneway is kept tidy. Please let us know if you can help. The laneway needs frequent maintenance in summer, and less time in winter.
From time to time we have small shop maintenance tasks too. For example, currently we need to have more lights installed, we need to source a new fridge, and we'd like to adjust the counter shelving so that we can store the shop computer off the floor. Do you have some time and skills to offer? Would you be on the maintenance volunteers list? Let us know here.
Membership Co-ordinator and Data Backup
The membership co-ordinator job entails
- Once per week, enter details of new members into the shop database (and/or check that details have been correctly entered), then enter remaining details from membership forms to a contact spreadsheet.
- Note contact details for members who have offered to volunteer into the contact spreadsheet.
- Upload the contact spreadsheet to a secure web folder for use by the communications volunteer, and the volunteer co-ordinator.
- Export and back up the shop database to a secure place.
- Update and maintain member contact details when they change, and work alongside the communications volunteer to troubleshoot email address bounces and errors.
Training will be provided! Please let us know if you'd like to do this job. This job is a permanent volunteer position.
